Death
Retired member Richard M. Seaton of Coffeyville, Kan., died June
20. He was the father of ASNE Vice President Edward Seaton, editor-in-chief
of The Manhattan (Kan.) Mercury, and Dave Seaton, editor and publisher,
Winfield (Kan.) Daily Courier. The elder Seaton was active in ASNE’s First
Amendment/FOI initiatives. He joined ASNE in 1967.
