Publicize your 1998 internships

Let hundreds of college journalism students know about your newspaper’s internship opportunities.

ASNE is now gathering listings for the 1998 internship guide, scheduled to be published in August. Jim Clark of The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel is coordinating the project. All ASNE member editors will receive a postcard seeking information on summer 1998 and year-round internships in your newsroom.

The internship listing is free and the poster-form guide also will be posted on ASNE’s Web site (www.asne.org). Last year, ASNE distributed about 8,000 copies of the guide through job fairs, journalism short courses, journalism school career placement offices, and minority journalism organizations.
