ASNE on the move

Job fairs

Editors can meet talented interns and entry-level journalists at ASNE’s eight regional minority job fairs planned for this fall and winter.

The final 1997-98 job fair schedule will be published in early summer, however, here’s an early-bird list of locations, dates, and sponsors for four conferences:

Chapel Hill, N.C., Oct. 3-4, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Mass Communications;

Columbia, Mo., Oct. 30-31, University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism

Detroit, Nov. 13-15, The Free Press, The Detroit News and Detroit Newspapers

Seattle, February, 1998, Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

And, mark your calendar for these other minority job conferences: Los Angeles, Oct. 10-11, California Chicano News Media Association; Washington, Oct. 23-24, Howard University School of Communication; and New York, Jan. 23-24, Newsday Job Opportunities Conference.
