school at Texas A&M University, who rescued me from a life of waitressing
when I had become burned out on school and made me editor of the school
paper.
Greatest feat: Balancing work and raising two beautiful children

Best story: When columnist Jim Dwyer revealed the MTA had a surplus
of funds and through stories in the Daily News we succeeded in getting
the subway fares cut for New Yorkers.
My newspaper’s strength: We are the eyes and ears for New Yorkers.
We cover the stories that matter to the city. We also have the best sports
section in town.
