ASNE on the mvoe

ASNE has picked the Boston-based research firm Urban & Associates to be the research partner for the remainder of the three-year Journalism Credibility Project. The firm is headed by Christine Urban, whose clients include many U.S. and Latin American newspapers.

"Chris Urban brings to this project a strong track record of work with newsrooms on qualitative and quantitative research," said ASNE President Sandy Rowe. "The ASNE officers and staff are confident that Chris has the creativity, insight and experience to help us achieve the project’s ambitious goals."

The next step in the project is to develop a national baseline survey on credibility and a study of newsroom attitudes.

Eight newspapers have volunteered to serve as test sites for field research. The project is funded by the Robert R. McCormick Tribune Foundation.
