ASNE on the move

Jody Calendar is the new managing editor of The Record in Hackensack, N.J. She had been deputy executive editor at the Asbury Park Press in Neptune, N.J. Gil Thelen, former executive editor of The State and then consultant to Knight Ridder in Columbia, S.C., has been named executive editor of The Tampa (Fla.) Tribune. He starts at the end of May. George Lockwood, a retired member who was formerly executive editor of the St. Joseph (Mo.) News-Press, has been named to the Greer Chair in Media Business and Ethics in the Manship School of Mass Communications at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge.
