ASNE
on the move
One of ASNE’s most important reports of 1998, “Leveraging Newspaper
Assets,” is now available free on the Society’s Web site.
The project was done in cooperation with the Newspaper Association of
America.
The report focuses on how Americans use the media — television, radio,
magazines, Web, as well as newspapers.
Strengths and weaknesses of newspapers in the mix are examined, along
with recommendations on how to play to the strengths.
“Leveraging Newspaper Assets” also includes data on how often newspapers
are used, what is read — ads and news content, what is considered useful,
as well as what additional opportunities exist for newspapers to fill readers’
needs.
