ASNE on the move

Gregory Moore, managing editor of The Boston Globe and an ASNE board member, had a little more on his mind than meeting Fidel Castro during the October board trip to Cuba.

That’s because he was planning to propose to Nina Henderson of Black Entertainment Television during the trip.

Ever the romantic, on the second night in Havana, Moore took Henderson to El Nacional Hotel and read his proposal to her in Spanish.

“Are you saying what I think you’re saying?” Henderson said she asked.

“I hope,” was the guarded reply.

She accepted and he gave her a lovely ring noticed by many others on the trip.

ASNE wishes the two of them hearty congratulations.
