ASNE on the move
Bill Hilliard, ASNE president in 1993-94, and former editor of
The Oregonian in Portland, was awarded the Local Media History Award by
the American Journalism Historians Association earlier this year for creating
journalism history.
Fellow ex-president Burl Osborne (1990-91), president of the
publishing division of A.H. Belo Corp., received an SPJ Fellows award from
the Society of Professional Journalists in recognition of his achievements
in the profession.
