ASNE on the move

James Russell Wiggins has not retired as editor of The Ellsworth (Maine) American, despite what we wrote here in July. Allen Baker, the publisher, reports that Wiggins is still going strong. Furthermore, Wiggins retired from The Washington Post in 1968, not 1966 as reported.

In December’s issue, the last words that Daily News editor-in-chief Debby Krenek would say were not “I feel lousy to have had such a great life” but “I feel lucky to have had such a great life.” Our apologies to Debby.
