ASNE on the move

Work  on the Journalism Credibility Project continues with initiatives under way at each of the eight test-site papers.

In addition, the committee, with the help of ASNE staff, pulled together a meeting last month with project leaders of various credibility efforts throughout the industry.

The meeting focused on the progress, plans and ideas for benefitting from each other's work on credibility, and in addition to staff and members of ASNE, included representatives of the Radio and Television News Directors Foundation, The Freedom Forum, Project for Excellence in Journalism/Committee of Concerned Journalists and APME.

Participants came away with agreements to link between each group’s Web sites and to coordinate aspects of the various initiatives to prevent unnecessary overlap between the projects.
