Inquirer staffers access the intranet by clicking on an icon. The home page provides the latest in-house news announcement. Additional offerings include:

  • The stylebook, searchable by letter, entry name or keyword, with links to cross-references.
  • News policies and procedures.
  • A “how to survive in the newsroom” section on using company cars, applying for a midcareer fellowship, etc.
  • Job postings and announcements of staff assignments.
  • Staffers’ home telephone numbers and addresses.
  • Databases showing the city payroll, voter rolls, teacher salaries and the like.
  • Calculators that figure percentage changes and that compute municipal tax rates and end-of-the-year budget changes.
