What is the Journalism Values Institute?

The Journalism Values Institute is a series of seminars conducted in cities throughout the country by ASNE and The Harwood Group.

The goal of the 1996-97 JVI seminars is to stimulate provocative discussion about values in more than 120 newsrooms by examining the core values of balance, accuracy, leadership, accessibility, credibility and news judgment.

The seminars are participatory, drawing on each journalist's experience.
