The ASNE board has approved the membership applications from the following editors:

Commonwealth; James Flansburg, editor, Denton (Texas) Record-Chronicle; Donald D. Holt, editor, Journal of Commerce, New York; Steven Hungerford, publisher, Scottsbluff (Neb.) Star-Herald; Phil Latham, editor, Lufkin (Texas) Daily News; Mike Masterson, editor, Northwest Arkansas Times, Fayetteville; Kevin P. McKenna, editorial director, electronic media, New York Times; Sam Pollak, editor, Portsmouth (N.H.) Herald

In addition, the board reinstated Bruce P. Frassinelli, editor and publisher, Oswego (N.Y.) Palladium-Times.
